PRAIRIE ARCHAEOLOGY IS MAKING HISTORY BY BEING FAST AND EFFICIENT |
September 2008 |
| "...over 75 percent of PAR projects are completed within twenty business days or less..." | |
|
It goes without saying that time is everything to archaeologists and historians. Unfortunately, to most archaeological and historical consultants, the creeping of time is standard operating procedure. But not to Prairie Archaeology & Research! When it comes to the business of archaeological, historical, and cultural resource consulting, PAR knows that your time is valuable and waiting months for an overdue report that may have a dramatic impact on your plans is beyond acceptable.
"In over ten years of being one of the major cultural resource consultants in the Midwest, PAR has prided ourselves on doing what we say when we say we will do it and being prompt in providing the necessary documentation so that our clients can make well-informed and prudent project management decisions," say Susan Vorreyer, PAR project archaeologist. As we get older, we're getting better, reports Vorreyer. Which is a lot more than I can say for myself, she added laughing. The duration between executing a contract and submitting the report has decreased dramatically over the last several years. Whether the project is a simple inventory, National Register of evaluation of multiple sites or locations, or even adverse impact mitigation, PAR is far ahead of our competitors. Currently most PAR survey projects are completed within twenty business days. This is approximately 35 to 40 percent faster than the industry standard. In addition, we track your project through the regulatory review process-we want to know where your project is and if there are concerns so that we can keep our client's updated and informed, says Susan. |

CLIENT ACCOUNT
"Overwhelmingly our experience with cultural resource consultants is such that completing the field investigations is not usually where we get stalled; it's actually getting some type of report - that is when the waiting game begins," says long-time PAR client Mark Burtle of MZK Developmental Group. "However, Prairie Archaeology is different! Usually we have documentation in our hands in a matter of days rather than months," Mr. Burtle added. |

Let Prairie Archaeology & Research Complete Your Cultural Resource Survey - In Record Breaking Time |
|
"Larger and more complex projects by their nature require more time-but, still, we are faster and more efficient than our competitors," says Susan. "This is especially important when one considers that most projects have a number of consultants-biologists, engineers, architects, construction contractors-and the result of our work may have a direct impact on the work of a number of contractors."
Vorreyer attributes PAR timeliness to a number of factors including retaining staff and embracing labor saving technologies. "We work as a team and everyone at PAR has a job to do. Unlike many consultants where the same person is doing the fieldwork, writing the report, and drafting the graphics, PAR is organized so that the many aspects of your project-computer-aided graphic design, artifact analyses, and report writing-are being completed at the same time," reports Susan Vorreyer. This is how Prairie Archaeology and Research can complete hundreds of acres of Phase I surveying or the evaluation and testing of multiple archaeological or structural sites faster and more efficiently than any other cultural resource consultant in the Midwest, Susan added. |
| For over a decade, Prairie Archaeology & Research has been one of the most respected full-service cultural resource management teams in the Midwest. Completing a wide range of projects from residential subdivisions and warehousing developments to regional transportation networks, PAR has assisted hundreds of clients accomplish thousands of projects since 1996. |
